The Key To My Heart

Chapter 3

Linda nurtured to a wonderful young girl. The parents could never been prouder of her. However one of these days, her parents passed away, when she was fourteen, leaving Linda in a very distressed situation. No friends. No family. She had no one. On her own, she had to face the world’s cruelties, their betrayal and harshness.  Alone, battle the agony, clash with contemplations, and struggle for rights. Sobbed hours at night before flickering her eyelids close. But then again for how long would she lock herself in her room and cry until her eyes became sore and were exhausted of shedding tears? Then she decided she had to unveil herself from the shadows she has been hiding for months and begin constructing her blissful wall to reality so that people won’t scamper away from her as if she is a banshee. Nonetheless, people still hated her but she never gave up hope. She started being the exultant and comical girl she used to be. Her clumsy and childish acts led to trouble but she adored everything she did even if it was cleaning up sprinkled leaves in autumn. Her life became amazing. She had everything. A house, happiness, she was blessed with all of the god’s bounties but for her, one thing was missing, her family. She had no one to share her amusing acts, her problems and so on. Nonetheless, she was thankful to god for a penny she consumed. She had no repentances and no grievances to god.’
The old man suddenly stopped in the middle of the story. I slowly open my eyes realizing my sitting position has changed and I’m lying down. The branches of the trees are brushing over my forehead. The leaves look greener and the atmosphere looks much brighter. I deliberately sit up spotting a young girl dancing while her beautiful blonde hair is swaying to tempo of the wind despite the fact that she has a violin in her hands which she is playing with so much enthusiasm that her passion is released as soon as she opens her eyes and a cool breeze is crashed on to my face and my eyes squeeze shut with which my hair sails across the sky slickly. I hastily open my eyes discovering the girl dancing on one of the branches of the tree but soon fall’s down. I lightly smirk but then I regain my consciousness and a crazy thing shoots into my head as if the trigger was pulled and a bullet just exited thorough my head. Is that Linda!?
‘Yes my child, that’s her, the beautiful, stunning angel.’
‘Wait, where am i? And how is she Linda... are we in 1994?’ her facial expression and features still look healthy and fresh so she must be fourteen. Even though my mind is not in a very healthy state of condition, I allow my brain to do the calculations mechanically.
‘God, kid, it’s going to take a long time for me telling the story, just get over with it and save her.’
And that’s when I stop hearing the old man’s voice. It’s just me and her.
I notice Linda sitting on the uppermost branch of the tree with a rose in her hand.

‘I’ll get married, I won’t get married, and I’ll get married’ … she repeats the verses more than seven times as she pluck the petals of a wine-colored red rose.
