The Key To My Heart

Chapter 5

while she was playing her violin, all the trees bowed to her, not only the tree, the birds, the animals came out of the woods and did the same thing, even the lion. He came in front of Linda and bowed to her. The sunlight rays began to focus on her, the sky started turning pink and the moon started appearing although the sky was just a scattered handful of stars which looked magnificent. The stars were shinier then they ever were and they threw down its spears of light, brightening up the sky to the mixture of pink, yellow, black and boom! Everything disappeared, the sun was to where it was positioned, the trees, at a 90 degree angle, no animal was to be seen, not even the birds and her eyes were open. Yes, they were open, that’s why everything disappeared. She hasn’t witnessed that herself, nor does she know she is special.
I was numb after I heard what happen. My memory is blurry but I’ve heard of this situation, no, I think I’ve been through this.
My thoughts get interjected when I witness the most beautiful moment of my life.
Linda and Evan are walking around the tree, holding hands when abruptly Linda stops and takes out something from her box. ‘Evan, promise me you will keep this safe?’ She hands him a locket shaped as a key. Linda unbuttons her shirt revealing a heart shaped locket.
‘Only the key you have can unlock the locket I have’
‘So does this mean I’m the key to your heart?’ she lightly punches Evan and he laughs.
‘Yeah kind of’
‘I swore to keep this key safe until it unlocks your heart, by the way, when can I unlock it?’
‘Hey it’s not funny!’
‘I’m serious, when can I?’
‘On the day of our marriage’ Linda shyly speaks.
Evan’s cheeks turn red but he keeps on walking.
‘Linda, you don’t have to feel that you are alone, you have me and that’s enough. You don’t need millions of friends by your side but only one who will stand by your side when the millions are against you.’
Linda has tears in her eyes and Evan takes her in his arms.
‘I’ll always be here with you even if the world is falling apart.’
I don’t know what to say. I brush my hand over the key shaped locket I have on my neck. Is that me? It’s not possible… I’m not Evan… I am just over thinking.
